UFC 92 Live Blog

Aight yall, its going down tonight, 2 days after Christmas, the UFC gives us a stacked card for UFC 92. The three featured bouts are:

Forrest Griffin Vs. Rashad Evans

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira Vs. Frank Mir

Wanderlei Silva Vs. Quinton Jackson

We’re starting out with Cheick Kongo vs. Mostapha Al Turk. Kongo, according to Joe, is a waste of talent/potential. Let’s see how this goes. The announcers say that Kongo could be in line ofr a title fight if he wins this one. Kongo was destroying Al Turk, then Al Turk hit him with an ‘accidental’ knee below the belt. Great advantage, and opportunity to catch his breath. I still think that he’s done. Kongo just got him back flush in the nuts too. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. He just tightened Al Turk up with vicious elbows, punches, and sledgehammer punches. I don’t know if Lesnar or any heavyweight could withstand that kind of punishment.

So, they putting Rampage and Wanderlei Silva up next? That’s crazy. This dude’s nickname is ‘the Axe murderer?’ ahw man. He looks ready too. Gerald is picking Silva to knock Rampage out again (Gerald is going for Rampage, but he thinks that Wanderlei has the psychological advantage). Joe is riding with me and picking Rampage to finally beat this dude.

HE JUST KNOCKED SILVA OUT COLD. “you was talking all that good stuff just a minute ago” lolololol. Gotta respect that punching power. Joe had just finished doubting him, saying he would lose.

Intermission fight is over. Looks like Joe the Plumber (our nickname for this dude) just got his ligaments torn up.

Next up: CB Dollaway Vs. Mike Massenzio

Massenzio stole Apollo Creed’s nickname. Me and Joe rolling with Dollaway. Seems like its a consensus for Dollaway. Gerald is going with Massenzio.Dollaway has won the fight by stoppage, and Joe is protesting the decision….correction after the replay,

Dwayne and the boys just got here.

Even though Mir is his favorite, Joe thinks that Nogueira is going to take Mir. I’m picking Mir for the fight.

Frank Mir just dominated round 1, without a question. 2 knockdowns, and sharp combinations. DAMN, ANOTHER SWIFT KNOCKOUT!

Griffin vs Evans is about to start. Didn’t know that Forrest used to be a cop. We’re wondering how many people he’s choked out. Griffin appears to have won round 1. Evans can’t continue to take those leg kicks. If this fight doesn’t go to the ground, then I’m not sure that Evans will make it too many more rounds.

This is the best fight so far. Evans is trying to avoid the leg kicks. I think that my prediction of Griffin is looking good. He’s taking the best punches from Evans…until now. Forrest just got rocked. Evans just TKO’ed Griffin in Round 3. This was by far, the fight of the night, by a long shot. The replays made Griffin looked pretty lazy and out of the fight.
